Mary Immaculate, example, co-redeemer, we offer our sufferings for the salvation of the world.
Christ also needs us to give testimony of him in our sufferings, in our diseases, in our illnesses and persecution; like Saint Paul said to the Colossians, to ‘make up for the hardships that still have to be undergone by Christ’ through our bodies. In Christ, as Saint Paul taught us, we become co-redeemers, with our Holy Mother, who taught us the path of salvation for others, of co-redemption, by offering herself as a pure sacrifice to God. So, brothers and sisters who are prisoners, who are ill, suffering, persecuted, or in deep sorrow for the passion of Christ endured by the members of the Church, remember that your pains bear fruit of salvation for others. Together with Mary Immaculate, Co-redeemer of the human race, and Saint Paul and the apostles, you are united in Christ fulfilling a mission of great importance, helping Jesus redeem mankind. As co-redeemers of the human family, following the example of Mary Immaculate, as Saint Paul did, let us continue making up for the hardships that still have to be undergone by Christ in your bodies. Remember that there is a purpose for your sufferings, as the grapes of the vine, offer your bodies in perfect sacrifice to help Christ redeem the World. Amen.
