After watching this video, I reacted and decided to send this letter to the local newspaper, Merced-SunStar:

16th Amendment: Allows the federal government to collect income tax

The 16th amendment is a mistake, for taxes should only be paid as "tips" to the public servants. If we do not like what they are doing, we vote by means of not paying many taxes. If we like it, we pay more taxes. Let’s do it as a collection, as we do when we go to church. It seems to make more sense and be more democratic allowing us, the population to really “vote” for what we want, democratically and willingly. It makes much more sense. You have to agree with me! think Taxes should be paid at the discretion of the taxpayer. Otherwise, we are enslaved by taxes, and we have a governmental dictatorship!!! The 16the amendment is a mistake, in my socio-economic and political opinion. Freedom from slavery, right!!!

Who should we trust more, the Electoral College, or the American People, just asking?
